Rules and Regulations

1. We understand that churches would not be able to have a team without players from other churches. All players must attend a church. 2. Christian attitude and conduct must be maintained throughout the game. A player will be asked to leave should a poor testimony be observed. The coach of the offending player is the one to address the issue with the player, not the other teams player.

3. Prayer must precede each game. This is the responsibility of the home team's Manager/coach.

4. All players participating in the league acknowledge and understand that in the event of injury they are playing at their own risk.

5. Game time is 6:00 PM unless otherwise noted. A forfeit will be called 15 minutes after the scheduled start time. However, Manager/Coaches should use discretion because of travel time when appropriate. For the 2nd game of a double header, the game time is dependent on when the 1st game ends.

6. Any changes in the schedule due to church conflicts (not player availability) must be filed with the commissioner by the Wednesday preceding the Saturday game. The teams are to make up the game on their own time but the home team’s Manager/Coach must notify the commissioner for the re-scheduled game location and date.

7. Each team must have a manager who is at least 20 years of age.

8. There will be no smoking or drinking alcoholic beverages by any participant or individual associated with the game. 9. Home team responsibilities:

  1. Provide one new ball and a good second.
  2. Provide four regulation bases. (Don't tie them down)
  3. Provide a score keeper and book. (Use official rule book)
  4. Provide two foul line flags if no lines on filed. (Must be at least 2 ft high)

10. Visiting team responsibilities:

  2. One warning for poor testimony then possible ejection.

12. The home team is to notify the commissioner of postponement 2 hours before the scheduled start time on the day of the game.

13. Rained out games are to be made up within two weeks if possible.

14. There will be no stealing home and no bunting with a man on third base. If the batter bunts or attempts to bunt he will be automatically out and the runners may not advance.

15. No metal spikes are allowed on playing field. No sliding with the intent to take out the man covering the base.

16. All bats must be taped 10 inches.

17. Managers/Coaches and teams must meet prior to game to review ground rules.

18. The Manager/Coach of the winning team must notify the commissioner of game outcome by the first Monday following the game. Failure to do so could be grounds for a forfeit.

19. Any player can leave the game and return one time. However, he must replace the same player and must bat in the same order as before.

20. No girls/women are allowed to pitch in any game.

21. Churches with 2 teams cannot change players from one team to another.

22. Teams have the option to use a designated hitter. He must start the game and must bat in the same spot in the batting order all game. Once leaving the game he cannot re-enter.

23. Sportsmanship is also required. Examples of good sportsmanship are: Not running up the score or stealing when up by a considerable amount of runs.

24. All players must play in 3 or more games in a season where we play 2 games each and 2 games if we shrink down to one game each.

25. There is a 15 run mercy rule. If the home team is up 15+ runs, the game will be over after 4 and a ½ innings. If the visitor team is up 15+ runs, the game will be over after 5 innings.
